EMPIC will add 2-Factor-Authentication for all products in 2021 R1 as standard!

Today cyber criminals try to steal login credentials and passwords. Additional authentication makes a lot of sense. We will provide a 2-Factor authentication solution combined with a mobile app in the next EMPIC-EAP^® release. It works for internal users as well as for external users, e.g. pilots etc. The authority can enable the feature individually, group based or for all users.
 
The only thing you have to do is install the free 3rd party “authenticator” app (iOS, Android), scan a QR code once, enter a 6 digit pin during login into EAP/MED/Web Client and already you have increased your security tremendously. Anytime you want to log into one of our products, you are asked to provide a new 6 digit number which is created by your personal mobile app.
 
As you see in the example screen I am using it already to access my EMPIC cloud and other accounts.
