EMPIC-EAP® Ready for EASA TRACE from January 2027

First TRACE information objects will be available late 2026 – with further information objects to follow.
The digital exchange of regulatory information across Europe is taking another important step forward. With EASA TRACE, civil aviation authorities, EASA and the European Commission will increasingly exchange defined regulatory information in a structured and digital way.
EMPIC is ready to support aviation authorities on this journey.
From late 2026, EMPIC will make the first implementation of its dedicated EASA TRACE functionality available for EMPIC-EAP®. Authorities implementing the new TRACE module will be able to support the exchange of the first relevant TRACE information objects and address the corresponding regulatory requirements directly within their EMPIC-EAP® environment.
The TRACE module builds on one of the key strengths of EMPIC-EAP®: regulatory information is already managed as structured data within one integrated system. By extending their EMPIC-EAP® solution with TRACE functionality, authorities can make use of information already maintained in the system instead of establishing separate applications and parallel data management processes.
And this is only the starting point.
As EASA progressively extends TRACE and additional information objects become relevant, EMPIC will continuously expand the scope of the TRACE module. Further information objects will become available in line with the evolving regulatory framework and the corresponding EASA specifications.
For aviation authorities implementing EMPIC TRACE, this means:
- TRACE readiness from the start – first supported information objects available from late 2026
- Integrated processes – using information already managed within EMPIC-EAP®
- Reduced manual effort – supporting structured digital exchange instead of parallel processes
- Traceability and transparency – building on the established EMPIC-EAP® data and history concept
